Nature of the Service

This is a private reference website. It does not maintain official jail, court, corrections, parole, or probation files. It cannot confirm that a person is in custody, direct a release, change a sentence, submit a government form, or act for any public office.

Its pages point visitors toward resources from the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office and Jail, Lowndes County courts, the Georgia Department of Corrections, the Parole Board, DCS, federal agencies, and outside research providers. A link is a path to another source, not a statement that this site owns or controls the source.

Acceptable Use Rules

Visitors must use the service in a lawful and responsible way. By using it, each visitor agrees:

• not to violate any local, state, or federal law;
• not to stalk, threaten, harass, or harm another person;
• not to base employment, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on site content;
• not to seek access to accounts, systems, or data without authorization;
• not to deploy bots, crawlers, scrapers, or other automated collection tools; and
• not to damage, overload, interrupt, or impair the service for others.

No Consumer Reports

Lowndes County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services. Its advertising and search partners do not provide FCRA services through this site. Visitors agree not to use any content or result for:

• hiring, firing, promotion, or another employment decision;
• tenant selection or any housing decision;
• creditworthiness, lending, or insurance premiums;
• licenses, permits, or eligibility for a government benefit; or
• any other decision or purpose governed by the FCRA.

Outside Resources and Services

Links may lead to release records, sheriff and corrections websites, court and government portals, legal-aid material, federal locators, and commercial search services. Those destinations control their own content, privacy practices, terms, prices, and availability. A link does not amount to endorsement. Visitors should read the destination's terms before using it.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are supplied “as is” and “as available.” No promise or warranty is made concerning:

• the accuracy, completeness, or current state of information;
• continuous or uninterrupted access;
• the absence of errors, bugs, or security weaknesses; or
• the scope or quality of results returned by a partner service.

Custody, release, court, and supervision records can change quickly. Nothing published here is an official statement from the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office, Lowndes County Jail, GDC, DCS, the Parole Board, a court, or another government agency.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lowndes County Released Inmates and its operators will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from access to, reliance on, inability to use, or use of the site or an outside service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

A visitor agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lowndes County Released Inmates, its operators, and its content partners from claims, losses, costs, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees caused by that visitor's use of the service or breach of these Terms and Conditions.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless another owner is identified, the text, graphics, logos, design elements, and code are owned by Lowndes County Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, republished, distributed, altered, or used to create another work without prior written permission.

Revisions to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions may be changed at any time. A revised version takes effect when it is posted. Continued use after posting signifies acceptance of the revised terms.

Suspension of Access

Access may be restricted, suspended, or ended at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice. This right includes action needed to protect the service, its users, or other parties.

Georgia Law Applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Georgia. Where these terms refer to Georgia public records, O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71 provides part of the state's inspection, copying, response, and fee framework.

If One Term Is Invalid

If a court finds any provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected provision will be limited or adjusted only to the degree needed to make it enforceable.
